“I backed the Kickstarter, and I'm so glad I did! I didn't get to wear them skiing this year, but I did try them on. These are great pants and I expect they'll stay in the wardrobe for years.
Size: I ordered a US14/AU18. My jeans are typically a US size 12/14, and I like a slightly roomy fit in the waist. I have a long torso and one problem I have is that pants hit my waist wrong all the time! I have short athletic legs and a round tush, but my 55 year old body has decided that I need a pot belly at all times, so there we are. I've been skiing for 40 years and have always had trouble finding comfortable pants fit well, look like they fit well, and are high quality -- even when I was much younger and leaner -- because the proportions were always just wrong.
Fit: I followed the measurements on the chart and decided to go with the 14 because I like a slightly loose fit, figured I could pull in the waist as needed, and wanted to be able to wear them even if I eat too many cookies. They fit perfect. I don't need any of the stretch/give. I also didn't need to pull the waist in. They are roomy but not baggy through the legs, hips, and tush. The waist is higher in the back than the front, and there is ample adjustment in the waist to tighten them. The legs seem a little looser than I need, but it's fine. I think they could accommodate lots of shapes comfortably.
Fabric/color: I ordered black. The color is ... well, black. The fabric and workmanship are very high quality. The fabric has some give, but not like spandex.
Features: Lots of pockets!! There's a key holder in one pocket. Vents. Soft lined waist. Zip cuffs with a generous interior gaiter.”
