“This is totally about me and my back that has been severely knotted up for months, starting just before I got the mattress. So it has taken me a long while of pt to start to enjoy it. I love flopping on it when I get home from work, sturdy sides and edges too. It really is good for side sleepers and I like it. What I don't like is how heavy it is, making it really hard to change a fitted sheet on my own because you can barely lift the corners. Otherwise I'm glad I went with this mattress.”

“Over the past 6 years I’ve tried a number of ‘mattresses in a box’. The first three have been just average, but I didn’t send any back, I relegated them into guest rooms. The Nolah is a truly comfortable mattress, which is huge. “I have never slept more than 3.5 hours at a time - ever. No mattress in 64 years, whether $500 or $3500 made any difference. Some nicer, but no sleep pattern change. My husband and I decided, (ok I decided) I wanted to get a motion bed so I could sit up to watch TV. Did research and Nolah came up. Did research on the company - what was to lose? They had a 90-day guarantee to love it. That seemed hard to believe. I called and they confirmed it. So I dove right in.
I ordered the wall-hugger motion frame - deal done. Now the. mattress. I asked about the firm mattress and they cautioned that is was very firm. The majority of customers ordered the Nolah 15. I ordered - it was delivered. I set it up myself - easy to do. Although it would be nice if you could mark which is the head / foot side of the mattress you see on the outside of the shrinkwrap.
My husband slept well. I loved being able to sit up to watch TV, but I was still the sleeping oddity. 60 days in I called to respond to the survey. I was curious, so asked if there was anywhere close to us that had the firm mattress that I could go look at. The CS representative said no, but it was within our evaluation time period and if we wanted to check out the firm mattress, we just needed to say the word. I really wanted to, but couldn't believe it. Sure enough, 24 hours later, I received an email that it was on its way.
Skipping ahead to the first night's sleep on the firm mattress...
That was the single most dramatic life change I have ever made (other than having kids). I slept for 7 hours STRAIGHT. I was making up for a lot of wasted time. I was rested. My back didn't hurt. My husband was happy. It is now 60 days and I am loving it daily.
The bottom line of this review is that get the mattress that you believe right for you just as firm was right for us, but to give the highest kudos / recommendation for the behind the scenes people for their customer service. They handled it beautifully. CS exceeded all expectations. Operations had the new mattress shipped out correctly and within 24 hours.

“The mattress is great - replaced a "luxury" 5 year old Stearns & Foster with the Nolah extra firm. No more waking up multiple times per night in pain! Shopping experience was great but delivery was delayed a bit and I had trouble verifying ETA ( I actually blame FedEx more for that ), which made "removal/disposal" of old S&F mattress a pain.”
“The Nolah Evolution 15 is an excellent mattress. The support with the innersprings is fantastic and a great step up if you have been sleeping on an aging memory foam mattress. It is no where near as hot as memory foam but I still would not call it a cooling mattress. If you need active cooling I recommend coupling this product with another to achieve the best possible sleep.”
