“After trying more than a dozen mattresses - yes, more than 12 - I can say the Plush model of the Evolution 15 is the best at relieving shoulder and (in particular) hip pain for me (6'3", 180 lbs.).
The only improvement I'd recommend is a bit more support around the middle, where some might note a slight "hammock" effect. And even that effect has been mitigated by encasing the mattress in an allergy bag, which seems to make mattresses feel a bit more firm.
Alternatively, for those not as plagued by pressure point pain, one could opt for the Luxury Firm version of the Evo 15, which purportedly has slight less padding, or even the Firm version.”
“We have a king size, adjustable bed...which means two twin XL mattresses together on two adjustable bed frames. My wife wore out her side a lot quicker than I did mine so we bought her a Nolah several months ago. She loves it! I tried it and although hers is a bit stiff for me, it was a great sleep. Finally broke down and bought one for my side. A step lower on the firmness and this thing is PERFECT! Been sleeping great and don't have to worry about "Falling in the hole"...That was a BIG reason to go with the Evolution 15...the stiffer sides...I think they call it "added edge support". Works as advertised. Thanks Nolah! Service folks are responsive and accommodating.”
“I really like my Nolah split king. I am a side sleeper. I did not know if I preferred the plush or the luxury. I purchased 1 of each. The luxury was too stiff for me. I felt like I was floating on top. The plush is very nice. I sink in just a little bit but, my shoulders and hips feel supported. I dont wake up in pain anymore. My spouse is also a side sleeper, she prefers the luxury so, it worked out well. The customer service was great. The only negative remark I can make is the two mattresses do not but up smoothly. There is a gap in the middle. No cuddling in the middle of the bed. I would recommend if you are a side sleeper and you dont know what firmness you like, go with plush.”
