I read many online reviews trying to find the best mattress for a side sleeper. This mattress was highly recommended which made me feel confident ordering the plush version.
When I received the mattress, I noticed that it was well made, and VERY tall at 15". My king bedspread could only be tucked in on one side. It would definitely need an oversized bedspread.
After sleeping on it, I didn't feel the plushness that I expected. I'd wake up periodically with hip and shoulder pain. Causing lots of tossing and turning throughout the night. After 30 nights the mattress still hadn't "broken in" to be softer.
I'd say the plush is on the firm side. I considered keeping the mattress and adding a foam topper. However, it would be incredibly tall where I'd have to order an oversized bedspread or have one custom made.
For these reasons, I unfortunately had to initiate a return. It was an easy seamless process. Although, I hope it was donated to charity, otherwise it's going to end up in a landfill which bothers me. I wish Nolah had their mattress in a store where I could've tried it in person. I think for the plush version, a pillow top or foam top could help make it substantially more comfortable for us side sleepers out there.”

I am blown away by the pain relief in my hip and lower back. It has been a wonderful change! I love this mattress and am so glad I decided to spend the extra money for what will bring years of joy to sleeping!”

“I started my research looking for a mattress for warm sleepers. Staying cooler through the night compared to our prior mattress-a tempurpedic-was the most important factor. Once on Nolahs site I used their guide, so as a side sleeper got this evolution 15. We both sleep incredibly well, staying cooler than our prior mattress as well.”

“We bought this mattress because it rated highly for side sleepers. When we first started using it, I was a big fan as it's so pillowy. But it hasn't worn well. After six months we have a clearly indented "middle spot" where you start to roll in at night. This mattress also makes it a nightmare to change sheets because it's huge. It's also insanely heavy so I'm not sure how we'll get it out of here. We much preferred our Caspers, and we'll be buying one of those soon since it seems like this mattress is already worn and starting to cause back issues. That shouldn't happen within months given how expensive this bed is, but it's too soft to retain structure.”
