“I researched mattresses for side sleeping big people for quite a while and determined that this was the one for me as best I could without actually laying on any. This is better than the foam mattress it replaced in some ways and not in others. The description of this bed promised to be "incredibly cool" and to have "extra support around the edges". For my mattress, neither are true. I think it sleeps warmer than the foam mattress it replaced. Granted, I am using the "GlacioTex™ Cooling Mattress Protector" and the "Tencel™ Sateen Sheet Set" that are sold along with it. Either way, they both market a cooler sleep and I'm not noticing it. When I sit on the side of the bed, I constantly have to keep pushing myself back on the bed or I feel I'll fall off. If, while laying on the bed, I get too close to the edge, I also feel like I'll fall off. The edges don't seem very supportive for these reasons.
The inner mattress (away from the edges) does offer more support than the foam mattress I previously had. I do like that. It does not slump like my old one did. I like the feeling of the Euro topper that is included. The pillows that came with the bed didn't seem like much at first, but they have fluffed out to be pretty nice. They do, however, promote a warmer sleep at night as well.”
“My 6'9" 425 pound husband and I (6' and 295 pounds) are so happy with this mattress. My husband is a side sleeper with shoulder issues, and I'm a back sleeper. His shoulder pain is vastly improved and my back pain is gone. We had a firm Temp---pedic mattress which was not only hot, but which developed body impressions and a hump in the middle in less than a year. Our Nola mattress is not hot at all, we sleep on top of the mattress instead of "in" it. We both sleep soundly and get a full night's sleep. I definitely recommend thus far, and at this point (90 days in) can say we'd buy again. My only complaint is the cooling mattress cover is just a plastic cover, with no gel or anything. It does not do anything to keep "hot and flashy" me cool. It's also slippery and makes the sheets slide around on top of it. That cover I do not recommend at all. :(”
“I was nervous buying online and not knowing how comfortable the evolution comfort + would be as I’m 300lbs and the wife 230lbs. I thought it might be to firm for her but after 30 days we have both experienced the most comfortable and restful sleep in our 27 years of marriage. You can pay more for a mattress but you’ll never get more comfort than Nolah!”
“Purchase process smooth. We originally purchased the Evolution 15 which wasn’t as firm as we anticipated. I am a stomach/side sleeper with hip/back pain. After discussing with customer service, they sent very detailed specs via email (very responsive on phone and email) for a newly released mattress (Comfort + 14). I asked a lot of questions bc once you swap out your original purchase, the sale is final. The Comfort+ 14 is perfect, reducing pain I had as a result of my sleeping position habits and increased firmness.”
