Nolah Original 10 - Full Reviews

About four weeks into sleeping on my Nolah mattress, and I am pleased as can be. I have spina bifida and mobility issues, and every coil-spring and air-chamber mattress I've tried has caused problems. I'm exclusively a side-sleeper, and always had to wake and turn four or five times a night because of pressure-point pain in the hip. Now I wake just once or twice, and there's no significant discomfort in the hip area. So very happy overall. Now if Nolah would come up with a pillow of the same quality, I'd have nothing left to wish for sleepwise.

Great shopping experience-ordered on Monday, delivered Friday.Easy set up-Took a little time to get used to sleeping on 1st foam mattress I have ever owned, and I suppose for the mattress,to get used to me(Break-in&adjustment period) Firmer than I would have liked at first, but after some time, felt much better(softer).Still learning about, and evaluating, sleeping on Nolah mattress. So far so good.

My shopping experience with Nolah was easy peasy; I had more difficulty getting the old mattress out of my house. When I first got the mattress, I didn't read the directions and opened it up in my living room which turned out for the best as it had a chemical smell. Two days later, I put it on my bed, and my first night was awesome! It really helped my hips however my shoulder started hurting after a couple of days. I called Nolah and they said to give it a couple more weeks and that they were working on a topper for it. She said they would notify me when it is ready. The bed is improving every night though and I might not even need the topper. It's definitely not for the back sleeper but it works great for my hips. Just give it the full 3 weeks before doing anything drastic. It is very supportive and takes some getting used to...home it continues to be an awesome bed.

i finally got a foam mattress after seeing countless ads for a bed in a box. i hemmed and hawed over which brand to go with, but after watching just about every video review and reading all the comparison sites, i figured i'd take a chance on nolah as it was geared towards side sleepers. plus the chance to "adopt" an otter cinched the deal for me. the box arrived on time, and since it was made to order, there wasn't much off-gassing and the chemical smell i expected dissipated after about an hour. i was a bit worried about the mattress being too stiff out of the box, as i had just gotten rid of a much loved old pillow top spring mattress, but after a few weeks my body adjusted and i'm having a great sleep. the mattress molds to your body and keeps cool (at least it does now as i'm writing this in the winter). it's been about a month and a half and i'm hopeful that the mattress will stay comfortable and cool for years to come. also, i have to say the customer service is amazing. the owner chatted with me through their website to answer any questions i had.

I sleep great, so but it's only been two weeks. I will write back when my heat in the room really kicks on.

After trying two previous memory foam mattresses and returning them both because of issues with heat trapping, I came across Nolah's mattress and it's "temperature neutral" foam mattress. I was skeptical about this claim but with the 120 day trial period, I decided to give Nolah my last attempt with a memory foam mattress. I'm glad I did. The mattress shipped quickly and arrived via UPS like the others. We unrolled the mattress, it filled with air and our final mattress test was underway. The first thing my wife and I noticed was the softness of this mattress. It was much softer than the Loom and Leaf Relaxed Firm and a little softer than Amerisleep's AS4. It seemed to hug and support our shoulders, hips and lower body better and felt very similar to the Tempur-Cloud Luxe which we both liked. That night we went to bed and I expected to wake up around 2:00 in the morning due to overheating. I was pleasantly surprised that this did NOT happen. The mattress was truly temperature neutral. Hallelujah! I didn't have to go downstairs in the middle of the night and sleep on the couch anymore! We've been sleeping on the mattress for a couple of months now and are really enjoying it. It supports both my back sleeping and my wife's side sleeping. There is very minimal movement transfer which is great since we have a full mattress. It doesn't matter how hot or cold the house is, I have zero temperature issues with this mattress. We only have two small negatives on the mattress. First, this mattress did have a longer off gasing period than the other two mattresses. Second, my wife feels like the mattress has firmed up slightly now that it is getting colder in the house. We live in the upper Midwest and the house temperature is now 63 degress at night instead of 70+. I haven't noticed the change like she has. Might be because of her side sleeping. Lastly I would like to thank Nolah for offering a great mattress at a very good price point. If you are struggling with or have concerns about temperature or firmness issues on a memory foam mattress, give Nolah a try. I think you will be happy you did. I know I am.
