“I no longer wake up with sore shoulders. I weigh 240lbs, this 10" mattress gives enough to cradle my shoulders but still properly support the rest of my body. I do sink into the Nolah a bit, making it a little difficult to get off the bed but it's worth it. Like any other change I need to get used to it. The Nolah could use some edge support but not at the cost of losing the shoulder give. I like it enough I bought two. I hope they hold up over time.”

My husband is a side sleeper, and we had been sleeping on a Tempurpedic for the last 8 years. He finally said that his shoulder was being destroyed, which precipitated our search for the best mattress for side sleepers. We originally planned on getting the 12" signature mattress, but decided to get the 10" original because I am a back sleeper, and according to independent reviews the 10" was soft enough for side sleepers while still being supportive enough for back sleepers. We also figured that if we got the 10" and then decided to try the 12", we could make use of the 120-night trial period return policy.
We have slept on the mattress for almost a month now, and my husband's shoulder is feeling better - not all the way better, but a marked improvement. There is a definite decrease in the pressure put on his shoulder as compared to the Tempurpedic. As a back sleeper, I am very comfortable on the 10" mattress. It is cooler than the Tempurpedic, which is nice. It is soft, but I am still supported.
We will not be returning it or upgrading for the 12". We're very happy with the product, impressed by the ease of ordering, and surprised at the speed of shipping.”
