A scheduled maintenance program ensures the generator system is always in top operating condition and warranty requirements are being met. Generac's scheduled maintenance kits provide all the hardware necessary to perform complete routine maintenance on a Generac automatic standby generator. Oil must be purchased separately based upon manufacturer recommendations listed below. Maintenance is recommended at every 200 hours or 2 years.

“I bought this unit in Oct. of 2017 to replace a 20 year old larger Generac. I have had nothing but problems with this unit! The engine has a major design flaw! The valve clearance must be manually adjusted and any operation of more than 24hrs causes the clearance to drive either shutting down the unit or causing it to not start the next time it is needed. I have a large paperweight that does not even come close to fulfilling it's intended purpose! I love Generac but should have never bought this model! I now am faced with replacing it just so that I can have a generator that can actually be counted on when the power goes out.”
