I have this Cummins Onan generator in a food truck that is totally electric. To date, it has performed very well. It is quiet, though not as quiet as the "big name" 7000 watt inverter generator that I previously used, though they are different style generators completely. My truck has LED lighting inside, which have a little bit of a flicker at times with this generator but it is not significantly noticeable. The "big name" generator did not have this flicker, I believe, because of the cleaner power (inverter generator.) The Cummins Onan produces 7,000 running watts as opposed to the 5500 running watts of the "big name" brand. There is still the limitation of the 30A breaker, which is probably not quite large enough for the number of big ticket items my truck has but I am committed to gas as opposed to diesel due to the gas chassis gas tank of the food truck. (I don't want to add a fuel cell for diesel.) The fuel economy of this generator is as advertised in the specs. The "big name" inverter generator definitely has better fuel economy but it is a pain in the tail to fuel up the 5-gallon integrated tank EVERY time I take the truck out. The fact that the Cummins-Onan uses the chassis gas tank is worth a great deal to me! It allows for much longer run times and the convenience factor is powerful time saver! The bottom line is... I confidently recommend this generator.
