I've been eyeing this Universal Plus for over a year now and after extensive research, I splurged and bought it for my birthday this year along with the bakers set. SO happy I did. Thoroughly mixes all my dough's much quicker than my KA which I need to stop several times to scrape the bowl and fold in the flour that's left behind (even after adjusting the spacer). It's also SO much easier to add ingredients while it's on and is an incredibly easy cleanup. In the last month I've used it to make 4 breads, 2 pizza's, a cake, brownies and a batch of cookies. There is a noticeable difference in the bread dough rise and the batters are smoother and cook more evenly. My only regret is that I didn't buy this sooner. Seriously - if you are in the fence, just buy it. You'll be very happy you did!

I love to bake. I often bake double and triple batches. This Bosch mixer is so easy to use and my kitchen stays clean due to the cover. I have the accessories, including the bowl scraper, cake paddles and a few others and am able to do everything I’ve attempted with little effort and mess. I find it much easier to add ingredients and remove the mixing paddles without anything over the mixing bowl. I’ve always had a Kitchen Aid mixer so when it died, I bought the larger size which doesn’t have a tilt head. I found it very difficult to use and was very disappointed. My hub bought this for me as a birthday gift and I am so very pleased!!

I have owned and broken several KitchenAid mixers over the years. After my Professional model dropped the lowest gear, I took it apart and found that the gear shaft housing was made of metal colored plastic. I realized I needed a much stronger machine. I did some research and shopped around and discovered the Bosch Universal mixer. In the 15 years I’ve owned it I’ve made countless loaves of delicious bread. It could easily handle the 4 loaves that broke my KitchenAid. I don’t remember what I paid for mine but I can’t believe it’s still so reasonably priced. Definitely worth the investment if you are looking to bake lots of bread.
