I have worn-out two Kitchen aide mixers. Talking with friends who recommended the Bosch mixer. I got one.. made the French bread recipe and was great. So much easier than my old mixer. Also it would be hard to match even by hand. The English muffin recipe is better than store bought.

I bake a lot of sourdough products and this gives me the best results every time. I have used a Kitchenaid for many years and been happy with it, but my daughter got a White Universal Plus and told me what a fantastic job it did, I decided I needed one as well. I do not regret it at all. It's a bit of a learning curve from the Kitchenaid, but with continued use I'll love it even more.

My first Bosch mixer is 42 years old and still in service! I love it and would never use another brand, I make bread for my family weekly and mix sweets as well. I am though eyeing a new one :)

Love how fast it mixes up my bread dough. I do wish it came standard with the stainless steel dough hook and top mixer whip driver tho. Less plastic is a better choice. Still a fantastic mixer.

The pros: The actual mixer is pretty badass, I also like the low profile of it. I have made the ice cream, cranked out the pasta, whipped the heck out of all the creams. The motor is great. The cons: I have owned a refurbished KitchenAid mixer for 28 years and only needed to replace the whisk after 2 decades. I have owned the Bosch for 19 months and have already had to replace the whisks and the metal bit that holds the whisks and now the stainless steel bowl just came apart in my hands while I was drying it. The bottom and center of the bowl are plastic and that’s not covered after a year. The motor might be good but without the bowl it is pretty useless. I cannot figure out why the bowl is not all one piece, all metal and now I have to figure out if it’s worth spending more money on to replace it. (If the company decides to replace it I’ll let you know. ). I want to love this mixer but I am now pulling out “old faithful”.

I wish I had gotten the white mixer. The white bowl has a lip on the outside, top the stainless steel bowl does not have. This time of year I make fudge and the stainless bowl is very awkward to hold when dumping and also gets hot. I knew the center piece did not remove from the bowel but it will take some time getting used to this feature.

I have had my Bosch for 2 months. I love it, but it did hurt that it dropped $100 in price right after I bought it. I love it, but at 84, I wish I had waited and bought it a month later. If I had known about the price drop, I definitely would have. Either way, I do love my Bosch in place of my Kitchenaid.
