I bought this desk to replace a two-pedestal oak clerk's desk of about the same size that I have been using for over 20 years. I work from home in the computer industry and the constant sitting in front of a collection of monitors was getting to me. Construction and instructions are easy to follow, but the desk is very heavy: All the frame members are in pressed and welded heavy guage steel. I don't really see why this is necessary: at least the upper components could be made of a lighter material - say steel feet with diecast aluminuim legs and worktop support. The worktop is melamine faced chipboard common in offices worldwide; the images posted by the seller are pretty accurate. In use - the motor is sufficiently quiet and powerful for my multi monitor and pile of books workspace. It is stable at seating height, but at close to 1200cm (I am tall) it starts to wobble. Admittedly, this is on a carpetted floor, so this may be no fault of the desk. The Treadmill is slightly more noisy than I would have expected, but not a big problem. The width of the band is not a problem at all. Very light and easy to move - fits perfectly below my bed. The treadmill stops automatically after one hour of use. This is unproblematic for me - after one hour I usually need a break anyway. Now I have a complete treadmill desk solution which is quite a lot cheaper than other alternatives.
