“We have set it up on our subaru, but have not gone camping with it yet,we really like the quality and size, could use a grab handle coming out of the rtt”
“This was my first RTT and I have used it over the past 2 years on several camping trips. I LOVE IT! It's roomy, it's easy to mount and set up, and it comes with several small features that other RTT's don't have standard. The boot bag is a must have. The netting under the tent is great for storing light items like jackets. The LED light strip is perfect for night time. I keep it hooked up to my 2nd battery and leave it on so I can see where I'm going after a few too many beers! The internal pockets are perfect for holding keys, pocket knives and other small items I use while camping. I even purchased Yakima hooks that can hang in the side slots on the underside of the tent (same as the boot bag) and the hooks are helpful for attaching a clothesline or hanging other gear. My sheets and blankets can stay in the tent when folded up, which saves space in your vehicle. This is an amazing tent and I'm very happy with it! I'm looking forward to a couple overlanding and camping trips I have planned this summer. Oh, and I hardly notice it on my 4Runner when I'm driving. I don't experience any wind noise but you can tell the vehicle is a little heavier when slowing or stopping. I recently purchased the insulation kit for a trip next summer to Alaska.”
“*This is a 7 month updated review. As a BLM Park ranger, I literally lived in my trailer-mounted Guana 55' RTT and annex, in some remote mountainous locations throughout Western Colorado this year. The frame and materials successfully stood up to some harsh weather conditions and my daily use and abuse. The annex provided enough living space to cook food and move around even with a folding table, some stacked plastic totes, and a camping chair inside (I would recommend the larger 64" or 72" for more than 2 people). With the internal insulation layer and a small propane heater, I stayed warm when the temps dropped into the 20s. The annex funneled the heat upwards into the RTT and the insulation did a great job of keeping the warmth inside the tent. After 7 months of DAILY use and abuse, the only issues I encountered were with a couple of annex zippers for entry and exit (because I used them like you'd use the door into your house). BUT, the guys and gals at Off Road Tents remedied that. Their customer service has been EXCELLENT - better than that of some of the larger RTT/off road product companies I've dealt with in the past. Thank you! I highly recommend The Guana RTT, and overall doing business with Off Road Tents!”
“Originally ordered a tent that I didn't realize would take 8 weeks to arrive offroad tent got ahold of me very quickly and found a better model they could offer at the same price. Throughout the process, they consistently gave me updates and what to do if anything wasn't shipped right or damaged. Received my tent in perfect condition. THANKS, OFF-ROAD TENTS!!!”
“We have used this tent for 3 nights in the past 2 weeks and it's wonderful. The thick material and easy setup make it so simple to setup, my only complaint is that the awning floor is a pain to install ( the zipper is very finicky ) we ke[pt it attached when we stored the annex in its bag. You will not be disappointed with this tent, I know the RTT market can be confusing but with the Guana you will not be disappointed. I would like to add the customer service of Off-Road Tents is outstanding!”
