Guana Equipment Wanaka 72" 4 Person Roof Top Tent No Reviews

4.8 Rating 6 Reviews
The Guana Equipment Wanaka 72" has to be the biggest tent I've ever seen. At least the annex is ltierally huge, which is great for my dogs to sleep there. I had done some careful review about it, and it hasn't disappointed.

Best tent next to heavy canvas i have ever owned. Will take some time to dial all the small details down, but my first two nights have been exceptional.

Off Road Tents is a great company to work with. Before purchasing our Guana tent and awning, they answered a number of questions that helped narrow our search down. Everything showed up in a timely fashion and in good condition. would definitely work with them again in the future. First dry run shown in photo.

Great design, very much like every other fold out soft shell RTT, but all the details have been thought out and well executed. It has large screened windows and "skylights" for great cross ventilation. A comfy 3" pad. A large rainfly with vinyl windows that's a bit painful to install, but covers well. I went with the largest version, 72" of this tent...and honestly it's a bit overkill. It takes up almost the full 90" of my FJ roof rack! But opened up, it's like having a queen sized bed with a sunroof - plenty of room for a couple people, dogs, and gear. Drawbacks: Only a couple things I've found I dislike about this tent so far. Granted, I've only had it for two weeks and the testing/shakedown has been in the driveway so far. #1 there were aluminum shavings all over the rack - under the mat, in every hole, all over. #2 the tan color faded already! In a couple days of Colorado sun it's clear where the sun has and hasn't touched the tent! Even where the ribbons/rings are hanging, there are clear shadows where they blocked the sun. #3 and this is common with all softshell RTT - it's just slow and tedious to setup...the tradeoff being a great amount of space and typically costing less than a hardshell. Overall I'm happy with this RTT. If I can, I'll report back in a year after trying it out in all 4 seasons.

If you are looking for a fantastic tent, consider this one. It rides amazing on my Tacoma, unfolds in 10 minutes or less and can be packed back up in about the same amount of time. The toughest part is justifying having to leave again once it is set up, it is that comfortable. Completely warm and dry, even in heavy thunderstorms. An amazing product, top quality customer service and I couldn't be happier.
