“We were so happy when our sky camp arrived and was even easier to install then we thought. It also opens and closes and stores very easily as advertised. This was totally the right decision to get the sky camp 2.0 The construction is very sturdy and feels very durable. We set it up and hung out in it one afternoon when it was about 90¬∞F. We stayed nice and cool inside with the windows open. The only complaint is that you‚Äôre supposed to drive under 70 mph however we‚Äôve decided that maybe going slower in seeing a few sites along the way will be nice”
“This is a serious investment and getting the tent to our overseas Amazon rainforest destination in one piece wasn't without challenges. The team of Offroad Tents, as well as their handlers at KW, were giving hands-on support to the whole process all the way. The after sales has been great. An important added value as opposed to ordering elsewhere. The tent came on a heavy pallet. The tent was placed in a huge oversized box with Oled Screen and handling with care on the side. This alarmed the third party handlers that took care of part of the journey in a good way. Nonetheless, they decided to use a fork lift on the box after removing the box with the tent from the pallet. This caused damage to the underside of the tent. Luckily not too much to be a significant concern. Now for the product itself. Awesome product, very practical although not overly complete. Large enough for our family of four. We have the annex as well which turns this to a very spacious two-story camping solution. Wouldn't want to miss out on that. Now looking for a way of adding a floor matte to the annex. This is the 1.0 version. The lesser thickness of the mattress hasn't annoyed us yet. Withstood several tropical rain showers with heavy winds without problems. Installation on my rhinorack pioneer platform was easy. Needs four persons to mount on and off the roof. When packing up further we need different rear springs to accommodate for the top load. We feel ready for many adventures ahead!”
“Only used one night but will likely get 40 or so nights in it this year. The biggest issue is that it is offing a bunch of gas. No way can you close it down and sleep in it as the chemical smell will make you sick. I have left it open overnight several nights but the smell still linger. I realize that it might be a pain to unpack them from their shipping boxes, but it would be good to air out some before shipping to clients. That said, I love the ease of set up and it is comfortable.”
“Off-Road Tents was our first choice for buying our iKamper Skycamp 2.0 due to their glowing reviews. We knew we'd be in good hands. The tent itself, well - it speaks for itself! Going with the 2.0 for the small amount of extra money was also a no-brainer. Better latching mechanism, sturdier body and improved interior fabrics were undersold in the description. “Due to weather, I have not been able to take this out for a real camp yet. However, I was able to install on roof top and open up for an initial check. I found the tent's engineering, fit, and finish to be excellent. Exceeded expectations - a feel of superior quality. Also, the experience with ORTents was excellent with great pricing, service, and delivery! Highly Recommend both!!”
