“These mounts make the RTT sit and inch and a half higher than it was. My tent is already a large profile tent. And with your quick release mounts the tent sits way too high. Not only does it look terrible that extra 2" height makes a huge difference. And were hitting in places we werent before. The worst of all I went to pick up a family member out of a hospital that ive been to before, but now my rig was too talk to fit in the parking garage.”
“I recently installed the Quick Release Roof Top Tent Mount Kit on the Chief Products roof rack for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. On my first try, I was able to mount my 90 lb. tent in under 10 mins. (I can probably get it down to 5 mins with a little practice). If i had someone helping me, I could do it in 3 mins! It took me 5 mins. to unmount without any assistance. Before this purchase, I would have to manually ratchet down the tent which was very time consuming given the low clearance of the roof rack. This purchase now makes it possible for me to easily mount my tent, whereas before I just would have slept in the Jeep to avoid the hassle. Good buy!”
“We happily received some really great customer service from Off Road Tents. We didn‚Äôt realize the tent we had ordered directly from a manufacturer was not compatible with our rack, without special brackets. We had a very short turn around time from when our tent arrived to when our first trip was planned. Off Road Tents was one of a few places that had the part we needed. “My garage door is not tall enough to leave my RTT on top of my lifted Jeep and pull inside. So unfortunately I have to take my tent off and on when I want to use it to pull my Jeep inside even though it isn‚Äôt a daily driver. Anyway, these quick release things make it really easy to take the RTT on and off in my situation. Installation was easy and just takes patience measuring everything and making it square.
