“I picked up a pair of these for a summer trip to France and I haven't looked back since. They were perfect for travel, packing down easily to fit in my luggage, dried out fast and didn't hold water, and still look classy enough for eating dinner out. Now that the trip is over these are my go-to around the house and weekend shoes. From doing chores to playing at the beach, hiking in the mountains to catching an outdoor movie in the park, the Nohea Moku have been a welcome addition to my closet. Icing on the cake is that I've never worn socks with them and they still smell like a new wetsuit. Bitchin!”
“I have owned 4 pairs of these (maybe their earlier predecessor), mostly because I am a gluten for punishment and I really want to love them so. They are SUPER comfortable and look great. If that was the end of it, these would be solid 5 star shoes. HOWEVER... Every single pair Ive owned wears through where my big toe is. Do I have big gross man toe nails that would cut through steel toed boots? No, I am a fancy man and get pedicures at least twice a month. Ladies covet my sweet supple man toes. Its just that the fabric at the toe is pretty thin with no reinforcing where the big toe is, so that's the first thing to wear through. Now I have a pair of the nicest shop shoes with the big toe hole because i can't wear them anywhere else. For the love of all that which is good and pure in this world Olukai, change the material or put some backing on the toe area so toes don't eventually wear through. I dont know that I would ever wear out a pair of these save for the toe hole if it werent for that. Otherwise these shoes hold up very well. That's why it pains me to relegate them to shop shoes because of a silly toe hole.”
“I normally don't write reviews, but after today I thought I must. I purchased these to wear with shorts and dress shirt on trip to Ukraine on hot days. I initially wore with no see socks, and since the heat I tried wo them and they don't rub, I can walk long distances, no blisters, it looks like they are designed that way. Today in Odessa it poured. streets were running with 6" of water. I didn't have option and walked through the water. They were comfortable, water bled out, no weight added. I walked into stores, no issue with wet foot or soggy sneakers. Incredible!! When I got back to hotel I saw they weren't drying fast so I used hair dryer and 3 min a shoe, more than 90% dry. “I have worn these shoes less than 12 times and they stink! I have never had a shoe stink before in my life and this one is rather pungent. I haven't even gotten them wet yet and I wear socks half of the time. It is amazingly comfortable and I like the style a lot, but I fear these will be landfill material in a short time. I was wearing the Nohea Moku for 3 days walking through Disneyland and even wore them barefoot one of the days. I had no blisters and the shoes felt comfortable all day. “Heard about this shoe for awhile and finally gave it a try and am very happy so far. The shoe is very comfortable and easy to wear. Looks like a lace up, but functions as a slip on. I took it on a trip to Banff and was impressed how well it handled various conditions from city to hiking and even in the water.”
