Easy fix: Bought a bottle of Bick 4 leather conditioner on Amazon and applied liberally (without the laces in). After re-lacing they're perfect. Perfectly silent. Now these are 5 star shoes again. “In reference to the squeak this particular shoe has , if you lightly score the outer edge of the tongue and underside of the shoe that rubs against it w an emory board it should take care of the problem.”
