“Love the look but I could not put my right foot in the shoe. My right foot does not flex all the way due to my ALS (Lou Gehrig) condition. Therefore I could not slide my foot in the shoe.
Side zippers would probably have worked for me.”
“I’m already working in my new soft but strong walking boots. They carried me along park pathways in Volcanoes National Park and up and down rock stairways at Rainbow Falls in Hilo recently. I’m a relatively fit senior, but needed a reliable fitted casual boot and the Hawai’iloa Manu “Hope” fit my pace and I thought was reasonably priced.”
“I got these for Christmas after wanting them for a while. I have the Pumehana Hulu boots and they run quite narrow so I figured these would too, but I loved them so went for it. I have average width feet and they do hug them a bit. I’m hoping for them to stretch after wearing them. I agree with a previous review, I Love the shoes but wish Olukai would make a wider foot bed.”
“I bought these shoes for my wife (I wish they made that style for men) and she loved them. we have a small flower farm here on the Big Island and she wore them to pick weeds yesterday. after seeing how scuffed up they were (I thought they looked broken in and slightly scuffed) she said these are too beautiful for the farm and said she wouldn't wear them up there anymore. Oh well.”
