“Have only used my Omniblend once since I bought it, so too early to give it a 5 star rating since the things that matter to me are robustness, longevity, serviceability and performance, and these can only be assessed after a few year's use. My previous blender was beautifully built and powerful, but the electronics have given out and cannot be replaced, so an otherwise functional item is now effectively scrap because of a broken circuitboard. Also, I had to replace the blade bearing on a yearly basis. I'm hoping the Omniblend is better than that.
The Omniblend certainly is better at serviceability: The blade assembly can be unscrewed from the jug and replaced at a reasonable cost, and the blades can be removed from the bearing housing if needs be. Good start!
Performance is also, even if only on the basis of a single use, extremely good: I was able to make short work of 500grams of almonds-to-almond-flour, with no indication the machine was struggling. This appears to be a very high quality machine at a good price, and for those qualities it gets 5 stars. But for an overall rating of 5 I need some years of living with it to find out if it is sufficiently robust and long-legged to warrant that extra star.”
