We apologise that you were not completely satisified with the performance of this item. The primary function of these gas struts is to hold the boot of your vehicle up once opened. While they can assist in lifting the boot lid in some cases, this is not primarily what they are designed for. We need to be careful about how much pressure is used in the gas stay struts as too little pressure would mean that the boot lid would not stay up, but on the other hand, too much pressure would make the boot lid hard to close.
