“Whilst the speaker is loud enough, and the controller is functional, neither are something to write home about. This unit was installed in addition to a Uniden of the same price point, and sadly the Uniden wins hands down. The display is more clear; the sound is more crisp; the ease of changing volume/channels is far simpler especially when driving; and the scan function is faster and picks up far more than the Oricom. To note both are running a RFI 6db elevated feed antennae. I wouldn’t buy again, whereas the Uniden I’d buy in a heartbeat!”
