Keeps me warm outdoors while riding horses in the cold New England winters and indoors when you just need to take the chill off and don't want to turn up the house thermostat. Materials, style and wearability are perfect. You would never know the batter pack is in the vest as it sits nicely on the left side just at your hip. Has never interfered with my position or saddle. Battery charges up quickly and holds it's charge for several wears. The heating element heats up the chest and neck within seconds of turning the power on high at which point you can toggle between the other two settings if you get too warm. Quick push of a button on the battery pack shows you when the battery is running low and needs to be recharged. Easy to wipe down with a damp cloth or safe to throw in the wash machine following manufacturer's instructions. Vest sparks a lot of curiosity when it's on as people or even your 86 y.o. dad can't resist asking you, "What is that light on your vest for?" As soon as I explained the technology and had my 83 y.o. mom try it on, she decided she'd take a medium size black and it would be the perfect gift for Mother's Day!
