“As a Midwest gal (think, Northern Illinois, almost Wisconsin) you’d think that moving to New England would be a piece of cake. “Oh, winters in NE are cold?” I scoffed— fond memories of our school bus getting stuck in feet of snow on back roads in farm country, snow blowing in negative-degree weather, etc.
However, the years and many cold chairlifts have taken their toll on me (I’m thirty, more likely I’ve grown accustomed to creature comforts of remote start and heated seats) and the addition of an Australian Shepherd to our family mean walks— many walks. Many standing outside hours waiting for him to tire. Many stamping my feet outside freezing my tookus off waiting for him to find the perfect patch of ground to pee on.
To my rescue, this vest. “What have you done?” says my boyfriend. “You’ve ruined every non-heated winter coat from here out.” You betcha, and I’d do it again. Toasty warm in all the right places with a battery pack that can charge your phone to boot! I originally planned to wear this skiing but have yet to take it off since delivery. Nice zippered pockets and a slim fit (I’m 5’4” and 120lbs, B-cup and it’s pretty form fitting, which keeps the heat closer to my body so no complaints). Short story— get it. Everyone will be jealous and you will be the queen of winter.”
