“I actually bought this to keep warm while hunting but like it so much I’ve been wearing it to work every day. The heating elements in the back and front (behind the pockets) do not get very warm but even when I can’t feel the heat I’m not cold so they must be working. The elements in the collar are where I do really notice the warmth - it is easily noticeable and feels great. I read reviews saying that the sizing chart was not accurate and you should go by the next smaller size; read other reviews saying the opposite. I went by the chart and bought the 3x. It’s slightly too big and I wish I could have tried on the 2x to see if it’s too tight. I also wish the bottom had some way to cinch it smaller. Like most Americans my body shape is more like a barrel than an Olympic swimmer but the clothing is made for the swimmers. The battery doesn’t last as long as advertised but I find that if I turn the heat on for just a few minutes (and then shut it off) about every half hour, I can make it through the work day and I’m comfortable all day long. Overall, I definitely would buy this vest again and as long as you don’t have expectations that it will perform like an electric heating blanket running straight off your ac outlet, you’ll be satisfied.”
