“Well a vest by design is used in mild weather (not zero F) and/or under a coat. I would expect a thin insulation to minimize bulk. I now have three vests and this is the heaviest of all. So far I have yet to find a situation when the battery was necessary as it is plenty warm without it. Maybe if the temperature reaches really cold (as in zero), I will appreciate the design, but then I would probably wish I had a heated coat. So the heating system seems to put out plenty of warmth (five stars) but the bulky design seems counter intuitive. The sizing seems a bit snug also.”
