“Using the heated vest is simple. Be sure the power pack is fully charged with the supplied charger. Unzip the interior pocket where the power pack will be housed (left hip). Plug in the right angle DC connector to the power pack and zip the pocket. On the left side of your chest is the LED Power button (it also serves as a Mode button). Long-press the Power button and it will begin to blink Red which puts the jacket into preheat mode. After a few minutes, it defaults to Medium heat mode. You can cycle through modes from Medium, to Low to High. Medium, the button displays a White color. Low is Blue and High is Red. By simply pushing the temperature button, you can change the warmth level to the setting most comfortable for you (3 hours on High, 6 hours on Medium, 10 hours on Low). Long-press to turn off the heat when indoors or when not in use. The heating system uses low voltage so it is safe to use. The power pack has a USB port for charging smartphones and other mobile devices. I doubt I'd ever use that port, but it's nice to know it can be used in a pinch.
During my initial use, I felt the heat in my chest and upper back. The heat was adequate and uniform. The heated fleece vest looks and feels great. I am an XL and it fits perfectly. The collar covers my neck and helps keep the wind out. Length of the vest is past your hips and it can be machine washed (unplug the power pack before wash), which is a plus.
Go to last minute gift for Christmas! Perfect for people who'd like to maintain their body temperature when it's cold outdoors: outdoors workers, construction, avid cyclists like myself, runners/joggers, hikers, sports attendees, photographers or when doing outdoor winter tasks. I liked the ease of use, functionality, soft comfort, minimal stealth look and varying levels of heat it provided. Recommended.”
“The Ororo Fleece Vest is a great, thin, sleek alternative to the tradition vest. It is comfy as you can ever imagine, and heats up nicely! Totally worth it, even if you have other Ororo products!”
