I have yet to wear my new heated "Buffalo" goloves. However, the service I received in exchanging products was second to none!!! This is how companies should treat their customers.

I tested these for a few hours, on a few separate nights, when the temps dropped into the 20s (°F), no or very light breeze. I wore the normal layering system I use for sitting stationary (e.g. hunting, winter hayride) - merino wool socks and base layers, fleece midlayers, vest, jacket, hat, Thinsulate boots, etc. And the only thing that still got cold was my hands. There was a stark, very noticeable warmth the first 30 seconds I put them on after the 5-minute preheat, so I was excited (initially). But maybe the heat system cycles, with a very long cycle duration or something, because within a few minutes, the warms sensation was long gone and I physically felt cold seeping along the sides of the fingers and fingertips. Minutes later, still no sensation of warmth from the gloves (just that feeling of "maybe I should pull my fingers out of the glove tips and ball up my fist in the palm of the glove so my fingers can share each other's warmth"). One of the nights I wore one Ororo, and one of my non-heated ski gloves (from a big-box retailer, nothing fancy) - and after the initial warming sensation wore off, even with the Ororo on medium, both gloves felt about the same as far as warmth is concerned (meaning - cold crept in). Maybe in a life-or-death, frostbite situation, they would provide just enough warmth to keep you from losing fingers (even if you can't FEEL the heat) but as far as comfort, they just don't do it for me. PROs: ** 2XL sizing was spot on for my hands and the size chart (for comparison, I'm generally an XL in non-insulated gloves like Mechanix M-Pacts, and XL/2XL in insulated gloves) ** The construction overall seems sturdy - I can't speak to their waterproofness, but the liner is soft, the shell seems sturdy, no loose threads, etc. I'd be more disappointed if I had paid full-price for these, but for the sale price, I'll keep them if only as backup gloves (and just pretend they don't have a heating element).

Though we haven't tried these gloves outdoors yet, they are very well built and components are small. Overall, we love the looks and fit.

Good but waiting on an exchange confirmation they are too large!

The gloves looked well made and felt comfortable. I gave as a gift. The main problem now, he says, is remembering to wear them. I'm sure he'll remember when MN weather drops below zero!

Another must have for the winter. Water & wind resistant heated touchscreen compatible thick gloves. What more could you ask for? Comes with storage bag, two lightweight rechargeable 7.2V batteries, US/EU charger adapter and User Manual. Ororo's latest offering has kept my hands warm when riding my bike and photographing during these cold winter months. It's made with a water-repellent shell, allows me to use my phone's touchscreen with them on. The flexible heating coils are located on the back of hands & evenly distributes heat in three different modes: Low, Medium and High (7 hours on Low, to 3 hours on High). After charging the battery and connecting it, simply long-press the Ororo button & they warm you up in a few seconds. Surprisingly, the batteries are not that large and you don't feel them inside the wrist area of the gloves. As an added feature, there's an adjustable wrist buckle and built in carbiner to attach gloves to each other. These can be machine washed without the battery, of course. Great for outdoors while working, camping, biking/running, shoveling, skiing or having a stroll in the severe cold months. Recommended.
