“These are good mittens and I would recommend them, with a few caveats.
On the positive side, they are made with quality materials and seem built to last. The insulation is relatively thin, but very effective. They are warmer than they appear without the active heating turned on. With the individual finger liner, they have a great balance of dexterity and warmth as they are not bulky. Battery performance is as-advertised and they are nice and warm when used on the high setting. The leashes are a great addition.
The drawbacks I found are that while the hand and fingers heat well, the thumbs receive very little heat from the battery. Also, for the heat to be noticeable, they really need to be on the highest setting, which shortens time before the batteries need to be recharged. The battery charger is using the old micro USB configuration, not the current USB-c standard. Finally, due to safety constraints they should not be used in wet conditions.
These are great for getting out in the winter for two hours or so. However, I would not count on them for a full day of cold weather skiing due the battery life, lack of thumb heat and wet condition restraint.”
