About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

We’re 100% Aussie-owned and operated, with our Brisbane showroom open 6 days a week. Swing by Acacia Ridge Monday to Friday (8am–5pm) or Saturday (8am–1pm), or call us on 1300 854 185 to chat about your next trip.

I.m sorry, but I can't tell you what I think of it because it was damaged beyond repair before I got to use it. (I had placed the Gaschecker on the ground near the gas bottle to be checked) when a vehicle which was being reversed nearby, ran over the unit and 'Ho-Hum-Diddly-Dum, It got a little bit squished and bent. Appears to work as intended, most of the time. It can be a little erratic re the angle of the pen against the bottle.

When it turned up it turned out that it was only suitable for small gas canisters and not 8.5kg caravan type. I either misread the ad for it or the ad wasn't clear enough. Anyway I now have a device that is of no use to me. Cheers.
