“The Tow Pro Elite V3 would get 5 stars except when I ordered it I did not realise there are 2 versions of V3. I received the V3-12 (12volt version compared with 12/24 voltage). The issue was when installing the V3-12 has the older model dial controller (Cat 5 data cable) which only fit the larger switch inserts & as I have a late model Prado there are no larger switch inserts on the left of the steering column or center consol, only small square ones which only suit the latest V3 which has the smaller dial controller with different remote head cable. I had to install the control head on right side of steering which can get bumped when you get in or out of vehicle, otherwise the brake controller works perfectly.”

“I am really happy with the tow pro elite. I have fitted a few of these now and never had any thing but praise from my customers until the one I bought from outback equipment. They advertised 3 day delivery, which turned into four weeks. It was ordered 7 days before Easter, allowing me time to fit it for the client. As it did not arrive, I went to super cheap and bought the cheapest controller I could find and fitted so they could use their new van over Easter. So the well priced controller cost $130 more than I priced the job for. When the tow pro finally arrived I change the controllers over. The customers are very happy as I absorbed the extra cost of the false advertising of outback equipment. Tow pro, great Outback Equipment, very disappointing.”

“Great product except I don’t like the automatic brake control function as I think it needs to apply more brakes (the trailer pushes the car a little bit more than I would have liked). I prefer to dial it in myself. Other than that it’s a straight forward fit and a quality product. Outback equipment had it at the best price and great customer service.”
