“I purchased the brown and black leather bands for my partner's new Apple Watch 3 Series. At first, everything seemed perfect. I have a fairly keen eye for imperfections, though and immediately noticed a few things that could be improved upon. The gift boxes that the bands came in had a foam lining that had a cutouts intended for a different band, which made the packaging seem cheap and lazy rather than quality and purposeful. I was willing to overlook it as the item inside the packaging is what really matters. I had never seen or used a modern magnetic buckle like the ones on these bands so I was curious to understand how it works; a very elegant design and functional making me wish my everyday watches had these buckles. Upon further inspection, I noticed a slight manufacturing defect in one of the buckles, which again made the products feel cheap, inconsistent, and not of precision quality. The brown leather buckle does not magnetically stay "flush" when closed. Mind you it does actually stay locked and closed, so there is no risk of the watch falling off, but there is a noticeable gap between the top and bottom clasp below the release buttons, giving the impression that it is not fully clasped shut. The black band however has a seamless clasp when shut and does not display the same gap. Since I ordered two bands that should be identical despite the color of leather, I swapped the clasps between the two to find out if it was just a fluke or a design flaw. Alas, the bottom clasp of the brown buckle appears to be the culprit of inferior quality as when paired with the top clasp of the black band, the same gap appears. When the top clasp of the brown buckle is paired with the bottom clasp of the black band, no gap appears.
I have inspected further by removing the leather bands from the bottom clasps and have discovered the one of the bottom clasps has a bend in the center bridge with the sizing peg on it. I suspect this is the cause of the problem; it is pushing against the leather band in an irregular way and causing the clasp to not match form with its counterpart.
The look of the watch band is fantastic and would recommend it, but I am slightly disappointed that a defective product made it all this way alongside a near perfect one.

“I ordered two Apple Watch bands late on Tuesday 6/10 and they were delivered early on Thursday 8/10 - free Express Post delivery, really great. I was very happy with the leather modern buckle style and the Milanese metal style - both looked exactly how they were pictured. Ozstraps were the only website I looked at that had the helpful colour matching chart so I selected the correct gold to match my watch. Overall, this was a great experience and I have already ordered from them again.”
