“I find that the greatest benefit from using a Milanese is that is allows a very precise fit which is important with Smart Watches like the Apple watch. Without a good snug fit on your wrist, the health monitoring functions can be impaired. Chain type watch bands only have a resolution of a single chain which is often too coarse. Milanese bands, or at least the Oz-Strap brand, stay connected to the watch at both ends when released so the watch does not fall on the floor when you release the band (similar to the closed loop clasp bands). It is a very soft band and perfectly follows the contours of your wrist and thus feels very comfortable all around and with an infinite adjustment range, no need to modify the band by taking out or adding in links if your weight fluctuates over time..”
