“Over the last couple of months we have been putting the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak thoughts its paces in both fresh and seawater.
The kayak is certainly a quality designed and made product. It's easy to set-up and pack up, it tracks well when paddling and is very stable (you can stand up in the kayak and use it like a SUP - although this action may not be recommended). The kayak keeps relatively dry even in a swell and without the optional skirt. The ability to pack it up and carry to any location in the car with roof racks etc is certainly an advantage. The kayak is also easy to change from double to single seat configuration and vice versa.
Our recommendations that have improved our experiences with the kayak.
Ensure correct pressures for each of the chambers and adjust and make sure your seat is comfortable in the shallows prior to venturing out. I have ocassional caught my thumb on the skirt zip when paddling - however correct chamber pressures and paddling adjustment help to avoid the inconvenience.
Lastly, when storing the kayak for any length of time we deconstruct the kayak (remove floor base and chambers) to make sure its completely dry.
If you are looking for a quality portable one/two person inflatable kayak then this is a great option. Give the people at Ozinflatablekayaks a call with great service and advice ensured. With thanks, Andrew”
“We have had our new double Convertible Elite kayak out twice now and loved it both times-has plenty of bouyancy so kids climbing in and out was no problem .
Travels on water similar to hard shells really ,and has the benefit of sitting in the back of my Subaru Outback taking up little space.
It does need sometime to dry however and we did need to fold it up wet on the second use-and take it back home and reinflate to dry it -not much trouble and still very happy with its benefits.
We have had 2 single hard shells-with rudders and must say the Elite double [without rudder] tracks very easily .
Looking forward to future use in our travels

“I purchased the Advanced Elements Advanced Frame Elite Convertible as a joint Christmas present for my partner and I. So far we've had it out both at the beach and on the Murray. It's been easy to set up and the pumping isn't too bad given its size. Both my partner (6'1"), and I find it comfortable and spacious in solo or tandem mode. It even fits easily back into its bag with all the accessories AND the addition of a pump to make the kit complete. The only change I'd make would be to add a foot rest for the front/solo paddler similar to what the rear paddler has.
Emily was very helpful with a follow up call when she realised I'd made an error in my order.
I'd highly recommend both the kayak and Oz Inflatables.”
“Easy to inflate and versatile for me to go it alone with two dogs or go out on the water with someone else. Being a tandem, it’s easier to have someone else to help lug it in and out of the car, but excellent quality and service.”
“We recently purchased the Advanced Frame Convertible Elite Tandem Kayak from Pro Kayaks at Narabeen. I was unsure of an inflatable verse a rigid kayak and want to see one in person. We choose the Elite version on the advice of Matt. Great advice and assistance even during these distancing times.
We have had it out twice since purchasing it, only because of the east coast low last week.
I was very impressed with the way the kayak traveled across the water in Sydney Harbour. Our initial run was nearly 10km's return around the lower north shore. There was nearly no wind and minimal traffic what a perfect combination for our first trip. I've kayaked a few times across open water and found the kayak actually handled the wake generated by the ferries better as it flexes slightly as you hit the incoming waves. I'm very happy with this kayak as it suits our requirements, storage was our main issue. I have no hesitation now crossing the harbour in this kayak. The rigid floor makes all the difference, I'm just over 100kgs and it feels great to paddle and tracks well.
Looking forward to many hours exploring the NSW waterways until we are allowed to travel further :)

“Easy to inflate, deflate and pack up. We can get it on the water in about 15 minutes. Very stable in the water and lots of room for two paddlers. Took it on a recent trip to Katarapko Creek and it was perfect.
Emily's support in purchasing this Kayak was excellent. Informative and helpful on all counts.”
“Excellent, we had our maiden voyage last weekend @ Caloundra & were really impressed with the kayak. It was comfortable, tracked beautifully, & was effortless to paddle. The wind got up quite strongly while we were out on the water but it still cut really well through the water while battling the tide & wind. We are extremely happy with our choice, thanks to Emily's informative advice.”
