Hi Emily, So 2 voyages so far. The first trip to test out nearby in a local harbour. All went well and even though the wind wasblowing hard we were still easily able to push through it in a straight line and then manoeuvre where we needed to. The second voyage was straight into a sea inlet on the south coast of WA at Walpole. First day went well and with a roughcrossing back to the campsite dipping in between the waves all was well. The kayak is incredibly stable and even with the waves splashing over us we didn't take on too much water. We did have the optional zip in deck attached which is very useful and don't think we would go out without it. Gives some good storage space and saves a lot of water entering the kayak. We even managed to get the sail up and sail back into the campsite after a tough crossing over the sea inlet. Great way to end the day. Sit back and let the sail do the work. On our second day in Walpole we crossed the sea inlet again into strong wind and entered the river. We made progressfor a few hours until our arms gave up and had to turn around. This time we had the wind behind us all the way so managed to get a good run back with the sail which again we were so pleased we purchased with the kayak. She will be out again this coming weekend so looking forward to it. Richard.

Hi Emily, Just thought we might give you an update on how we are going with the kayaks! We have been running 'Coastal Kayaking' on Norfolk Island since November, and we just love the kayaks. They are really safe and stable, and easy to use. Not to mention fun. Please check out our face book page 'Advance fishing and Kayaking'. Hope your married life is going well. All the best, Darren

A lot of thought and attention has gone into the Advanced Elements Convertible kayak. Oz inflatable kayaks are clearly proud of the product too and the customer service and advice that Emily gave couldn't be better. Delivery was very fast. The kayak stores in a suit case sized hold-all and set-up after a couple of practices was surprisingly fast with the efficient double action pump. It handled brilliantly in the water and is really the perfect compromise kayak. It tracked perfectly in a mild breeze and I doubt it would have any more trouble than a hard shell in stronger winds. I think the weight of the kayak actually helps in this and certainly gives it some momentum in the water. It was easy to manoeuvre around rocks and reefs when close to shore. An advantage over hard shells is its comfort when sitting in it and its stability. We jumped off for a snorkel and climbed back in with no difficulty. All in all, a fantastic kayak and highly recommended.
