“I found the Advanced Frame kayak easy to set up, taking about 10 minutes to inflate and light in the water. I bought the adjustable seat which is super comfy and can fit the longest of legs inside the. I would highly recommend this quality kayak to anyone from beginner (like me) to the expert kayaker looking for a light, portable, quality craft”
“love the Advanced frame Kayak. easy to assemble, not too heavy for me to be able to transport it about. paddles really well even in choppy water... but.. two minor things the makers could remedy.
1. the velcro to hold the paddle is too close to the paddlers arm at the stern of the kayak.. the velcro scratches my arm whilst paddling. it could easily be relocated further to the stern of the boat, away from the movement of the paddling arm.
2. when i paddle, the water flicks off the paddle onto the bow of the boat (plus any wavelets that come over the edge).. this water then flows to the lowest point which is the zip end closest to the paddler. there it falls onto the floor of the kayak and inevitably the floor is very wet along with the paddlers legs and bum. the cover over the bow end of the boat needs some support to hold the zip higher thus preventing the water flowing into the vessel.
these changes would make the kayak perfect!!

“Early days, as we have only just had our first opportunity to take our new kayak out for a paddle. A weekend at Hilton Denarau with a garden view (and nice view of the beach) was our chance. We inflated can carried our kayak down to the beach, approximately 50m with little effort, and slipped it into the water. My first paddle and it felt so much more enjoyable than hard plastic kayaks usually available at resorts. I was totally sold. The test though would be my partner. She loved it too, felt totally safe and as a smaller person had no issues handling and maneuvering. It was actually a surprise to see her so far in the distance as usually she would not be so adventurous. We will now be purchasing at least one more for my partner, and possibly more for when friends stay. I wish Advanced Elements kayaks had been around when growing up, life would have been filled with so much more adventure. Thank you Emily!”

“Having now had a few months and several outings with the kayaks, once you’re out on the water, I don’t believe that there’s a lot of difference in speed or tracking ability between the AF models and more conventional plastic sit-in recreational kayaks, particularly once you install the backbone, which I highly recommend. Performance is OK enough without it, but I’ve found that installing the backbone improved performance quite significantly.
Where the AdvanceFrame models really DO have it all over hard kayaks, is comfort. Since you’re sitting on an inflated floor and well supported by the high seat-back and your feet are braced against the foot bar (Expedition) or inflatable foot brace (AdvFrame), I’ve found I can paddle for much longer, without getting a sore or numb backside or without my feet “going to sleep” from being pressed against hard pedals.
A great alternative for solo paddlers/travellers without a second person to assist getting a kayak on/off car roof racks or without the space to store a conventional kayak - both of which apply in my case.
