I’ve only paddled hard shell but this moves through the water beautifully had plenty of interest in it , didn’t take much to inflate and install foot rest and seat I’ve ordered a trolley because I can’t get close to the water. “My Advanced Frame Sport kayak was soooo easy to set up, and light to carry. At Lake Coolmunda, Qld, I paddled right out to drift quietly amongst darting swallows catching insects off the water, majestic pelicans drifting past, and a large mixed flock of several hundred little black and little pied comorants. The quietness of the kayak enabled me to get right amongst the birdlife, and left me feeling both at peace and exhilarated.
Later the wind came up, and the water became choppy, but the sports kayak just paced straight through. It is a dream to paddle. This is a great little kayak, and would definitely suit an older person, but tracks straight and fast for someone more athletic.

“I’m having a great time with my kayak on the rivers in Perth. It’s very stable and my young granddaughter took her small dog for a paddle in it easily. I am taken with how transportable it is - I’ll be taking it with me on the plane next time I travel.

“I absolutely love my AdvancedFrame Sport kayak from Emily. From the first email enquiry to delivery a few weeks later, Emily was thoughtful, professional and especially patient with all my questions! The bespoke video recommendations are fantastic - straight to the point, informative and entertaining! The options Emily offered were appropriate for me - and helped me make an informed decision. I absolutely love my kayak I have taken it out on the river nearby quite a few morning before sunrise (even in winter!). It is super quick to inflate and light enough for me to pick up and carry to the water with one hand. “We purchased our kayaks 6 weeks ago and have been out in them 5 times. In that time we’ve kayaked on Sydney Harbour (Rodd Point and North Head to Manly), Pittwater, Lake Macquarie and Lake Narrabeen. The kayaks are even better than we expected, they are stable & track well, even in strong winds or a swell.
We chose these kayaks because they are so light (12kgs) and as I am much heavier than my partner & want to take a dog with me at times, I also purchased the drop stitch floor. It does the job perfectly & fits easily in the kayak when packed. We did a lot of research before purchasing these kayaks and also found Emily’s personalised advice extremely helpful. The kayaks are easy & quick to inflate although we did end up purchasing the electric pump as we both have some joint issues. They pack back into their bags with ease, this really surprised me, we store the 4 piece paddle, foot rest & seat in the bag as well. We use a separate bag for the life vests and pump. Both kayaks fit in the back of our car, are easy to lift & carry (even easier when inflated) & are not a problem to store. I have no hesitation in recommending these kayaks to anyone who is looking for a lighter kayak, in our opinion it performs like the best of the hard shell kayaks we have used.”
