“The good: This has just the right coverage, well down the forehead and fully over the ears. It does a good job of blocking airflow and keeping my head warm. The not-so-good: it’s a little tight for my 23 1/2 inch head (hat size 7 1/2). I could imagine it being uncomfortably tight for anyone with a bigger head. Two overlapping sizes would have been better than just one-fits-all. Also, it’s loud, especially at speed. It’s not that it’s blocking other sounds, rather it’s generating a lot of wind noise of its own. Above about 15 mph it strongly interferes with conversation or hearing overtaking cars. It’s much louder than any other full-coverage headwear I’ve used in the past. I checked “recommend”, but really wanted “recommend with caveats”.”

“Retention of warmth lost thru your head is critical in colder weather. I’ve got numerous lighter weight warmers and tube type insulators, but this one seals my head heat loss well and fits nicely under both my helmets. Used in combination with tube style open top garments, you can find a nice medium to keep warmth in and wind chill out.”
