Very happy with my purchase. I only get to ride during the night most of the week so a good thermal with good nighttime visibility is a must. Many fellow riders are impressed with how reflective it is. A snug fit and very warm. Great is your a competitive rider and need something slim, warm and breathable. Having 3 pockets along with the 4th with a zipper for things i want to keep secure is great attention to detail.

The alpine Thermal RT Jersey is my all around garmet from 40 to 60 degrees. Pair it up with a baselayer and the Flagstaff RT for a lower temp range and you an conversion system

It hasn't been cold enough to wear yet here in Southern California, but it's the usual great Pactimo quality of materials and construction. It is true to size and is actually heavy duty...not just a "summer" jersey with sleeves, but more like half way between a short sleeve jersey and a jacket. My only gripe, and it's a small one, is I wish the arms, especially in the bicep area, were tighter fitting, but I'm an aero nut and have a lot of the Summit series stuff because of that. Or maybe I just need to pump more iron :-)

I had another opportunity to wear this jersey under different conditions today. The road ride started out at 52 degrees, sunny, light breeze. It ended a couple of hours later in the low-to-mid-40s, cloudy and still breezy. With this jersey, I wore a sleeveless mesh base layer and a thin vest. As I mentioned in my previous post, I get cold easily. Today, once I got moving, my core stayed warm the entire ride with only a slight chilliness on my arms. So, for me anyway, I've validated the comfort of this jersey down into the 40s with nothing more than the addition of a base layer and vest.

After a surge of warmer temperatures, it's finally getting chilly enough here (in the mornings, at least) that I could get out and use this jersey. My "body furnace" runs colder than most - I chill easily - so keep that in mind. Pactimo says this piece worn alone should work well into the 40s but for me that equates to the 50s. That said, it performed beautifully on a 'cross ride I did yesterday with a starting temp of about 55; the temp eventually got up to around 60 and I was actually too warm at that point. So, for most people I expect the claim of comfort into the 40s is probably pretty accurate.

I have been really happy with this Jersey. I works extremely well with a variety of undergarments depending on the temperature as the material is especially stretchy and does not flap in the breeze even with only a thin sleeveless base layer. The zippered "4th pocket" is really nice for things like a phone or keys so they don't come out when taking other things out while riding and it doesn't sacrifice any utility of the other three. I match this with the Thermal Bibs and I'm set most conditions down to about 40 degrees.

The Alpine Thermal RT Jersey is an incredibly well constructed. Extremely versatile - can be used in a wide range of temps. I've use it on the road into the 40's with no issues. Pair with a good base layer and the Breckenridge WX-D Vest and you can go much colder. I have also used this on the mountain bike into the mid 30's so far and it is great. Really more of a light weight jacket. Highly recommended.
