You may ask, "Why buy this when I can strip down and change under a beach blanket wrapped around your wait" This is easy to pack because it folds down into a tiny package, easier to use due to the Velcro closure, more secure so I won't accidentally flash the crowd if my towel slips, easier to change under than a bulky towel, and it makes me look more fit than a bulky towel (helps strike fear into the hearts of the racers I'm up against).

I gave them as gifts, and one of my buddies who is a hardened racer said that he thought that there was nothing new he could use in his gearbag until he got the kilt.

Keep this kilt in my race day bag at all times. No longer have to worry about a towel coming undone while changing into or out of my kit.

Although it provides the same functionality as the towel I was using, the kilt is better designed for the purpose with the security of the velcro, the length of the kilt, and just looks better. The lightness of the material makes it comfortable and easy to stash, but also makes it prone to getting blown around/up with the wind, though the length and velcro security would make it very unlikely to give you the Marilyn Monroe grate exposure experience, if you get that reference.

It his words exactly as it would want it to. No more free-shows at the trailhead or slipped towels. It also doubles as a Scottish kilt for costume parties.
