Handy item for the low temps. Love the manic yellow color. A little bit expensive, but well worth the sale price.

The fit is great. I love the design of how you can pull it up to cover your nose compared to the simple tube design of other buffs.

Great for winter commuting or very cold weather rides. Protects the face and the lungs. Does not become waterlogged from breathing.

I don’t like it. It is too small and the material is not stretchy. I am not able to return because it is no shipping return friendly.

I was out for a couple hours in 34 degree weather with a winter long sleeve jersey, Pactimo long sleeve baselayer, long sleeve jersey and Goretex jacket. I did wear a Pactimo cap and this neck gaiter which was vital for reducing the flow of air down my neck. I did not ride with the gaiter pulled over my face on this ride. This gaiter is very light and works well in moderately cold weather, but a fleece like fabric would probably be a better choice in very cold weather and on windy days. It also washed nicely, as did the cap with the same fabric.

I really like this gaiter. It stays in place and gives me a break from the cold. I am considering buying another one.

Balaclavas are extremely effective but are limited to just severe cold temp riding. The neck gaiter combined with a thermal hat or head band to cover your ears is the perfect combination! I enjoy that I can pull the gaiter up and down, even with full finger gloves on. At first, I thought it was too thin to work well but I am pleasantly surprised that it works well down into the 30's. I wear an Alpine Thermal Jersey with a high collar and the thin material works well under the collar. I find it keeps the wind off of my face really well but I can breath out of it with no issues. It also keeps wind out of the top of your collar. When it gets too warm, it rolls up and packs into a pocket or even inside your jersey and you will forget it's there! If your breath gets it wet, it dries fast if it's dry outside by leaving it hanging in the sun at a café stop. This is an essential piece of kit for shoulder season riding! Your face and nose will thank you!!
