I have had a pair of the Vertex WX-D gloves for several weeks, but it was not until last week I really had a chance to test them. I should add that I am approaching 70 years of age and DO get cold fingers. I was hoping these would keep my fingers warm, but alas, on a day when it was 37 F, my fingers got cold quickly and stayed cold until the temperature was above 40 F.

I have extremely bad circulation into my hands and I wasn't too uncomfortable with temps in the mid-20°. They don't sacrifice the ability to reach for brake levers and shift either with being too bulky

These are fantastic gloves! I have tested them in the high 30s-40sF and they kept my hands warm. So much so, my hands actually got too warm and were sweating! They have grippy material on the palms and the fingers so you can maintain good grip while riding, especially on those cold descents! These gloves allow me to finally ride without having an inner pair of gloves also. They are kinda bulky but its winter clothing, so no aero gains to be concerned with :)

I was looking for a pair of gloves that would carry me through the colder end of the shoulder seasons. These do the job. I am not a "oh look, it's a blizzard, let's ride" kind of a guy. But when it gets near freezing I want to be able to feel my hands. I'm 5' 10" about 150lbs when in good riding condition and found the large size to work for me. I am one of those between size people so I never know what will fit. My only complaint is that when on the hoods my thumbs are kind of crammed into the end of the glove, not a deal breaker, they do keep my hands warm on chilly rides. You will sweat in these at some point but even when pretty damp my hands stay warm. Pactimo quality is a given and these gloves look good, seem very well made and, hopefully, will last a good long while.

I have the coldest hands (and feet) around and I'm always looking for gloves that will keep my hands warm in the 35-45 degree range, and unfortunately these gloves didn't work for me. I wore them on a ride the other day for the 1st time. The temp was 47 degrees and overcast skies and my hands were cold for most of the ride. They didn't start to warm up until near the end of the ride when the temp was just above 50 degrees. They are a well made glove and attractive, too. There appears to be plenty of insulation although they're not bulky. The fingers are slightly curved to the shape of handlebars so there's no bunching. There's also insulation on the palm-finger side so cold doesn't seep through. I like the fit of a unisex size small vs the womens large. I will wear the gloves because it's a good fit, but it just won't be when the temp is cold. They deserve the 4-star rating even though they didn't work for me.
