I purchased the Eco Carpet Shampoo, EN Zyme concentrate, and the Healthy Habitat concentrate.
Let Me Tell You STOP BUYING AND TRYING ANYTHING ELSE - YOU HAVE FOUND THE BEST PRODUCTS.
I have 3 chihuahuas, a 2 y/o, 3 y/o and 4 y/o. Much and all as I love them - because the oldest one is a rescue, and does mini pees everywhere (she doesn't have a bladder issue, we've tested, she's just afraid of fresh air because of her treatment prior to our rescue) and because she uses our ENTIRE house as her lavatory, the other two think that's fine too, so you can imagine the free fir all we're dealing with.
The youngest are "getting better" with doing their 'wees outside', but reality is, it has had me at my wits end. Don't get me started on the constant "scent" in my house.
I bought a Neptune Mellow Mat for the tiled lounge room, and despite my best efforts to clean it, the smell was hideous. Let me tell you the professional products I've tried using that haven't worked, and how these three products have literally changed my life since they got here two days ago...
- Vanish Napisan spray, liquid wash booster, and the powder mixed into a slurry (used separately)
- Bissell Pet Stain and Odour remover
- No Vac Spot and stain remover
- Dog by Dr Lisa
- Urine Off dog and puppy spray
- Bowden's Own Pong-Go
And yes, I've tried eucalyptus, vinger, bicarb soda, water, IPA, and ever other natural remover
Whilst some of them 'tried' to help, no amount of scrubbing, soaking etc was able to deal with wee and poo scent, and some stains. No lie, I "was" at my wits end....
So figured I'd give these three products a go, because they were plant based, and honestly, had nothing to lose.
I'd researched a lot about how enzymes would need to be used to get rid of former smells etc, buy just didn't know what to do.
Well..... the SECOND Mellow Mat I bought - that I was about to throw away because 'I just caint', I vacuumed the whole rug so it's fluffy side was ready to take the spray, then I sprayed the back of it, then flipped it over and sprayed the fluffy top of it with the EN Zyme Solution I'd made into a 500ml spray bottles worth (475ml water and 25mls of concentrate). I don't have a tarp, so I just put some large wheelie bin liners on top of it, and let it sit for a couple of hours, then hung it over some chairs to let it touch dry (maybe an hour).
Let me tell you, I almost cried. No lie, there was not a SINGLE smell/scent of ANYTHING waste related.
I'd spot cleaned some of the stains with soda water previously, and soaked it up with some paper towel till it dried (a carpet cleaner guy told me to try it) but the smell was still there.
I was going to do the EN Zyme spray first, and then go over it with the carpet cleaner again with the new shampoo to give it a go - but I am shook.
Not only does it have ZERO smell, but it is honestly as if nothing was ever on there.
I can lay on the mat, and play with the hooligans, with no smell, and I gave it a light spray last night with the Healthy Habitat spray, just because I wanted it to have a fresh smell, and I can't even begin to explain, it is fabulous.
I had to give it a go on a fluffy white foot mat that had a new wee on it, just to make sure I wasn't imagining it. So I paper toweled the excess wee, then spray around I'm a circle, outside in like they say on the video) making sure it was wet, but not soaking, and overnight, no lie, it was gone. The stain, the smell, everything.
Another thing I tried, that is also change your life material - guided by the amount of concentrate my Tineco S5 Vacuum and Floor washer says, I used 3mls of the carpet shampoo in the 800ml clean water tank, and it didn't foam, and it cleaned my floors squeaky clean (didn't feel like there was any film like the actual Tineco floor cleaner can leave). I used the carpet shampoo instead of the Healthy Habitat because I know other robot vacuum cleaners sensors get upset with spray type cleaners.
I honestly can't believe it. All the products just have me floored, delighted and have given me SO much relief to know I now have something that ACTUALLY does what it claims to.
I'm going to use the Eco Carpet Cleaner on some stubborn old carpet stains tonight after work, with my bissell green machine, and I can't wait to see the results.
Next on the list is the couch.
