Our family was an early adopter of Phone Soap, and we loved our original Large unit. We had been using it daily. We recently ordered the new/updated unit. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed in the redesign. While we remain committed to the technology, it is the practicality of using the new design which leaves much to be desired. It is now more difficult to actually navigate our possessions into and out of the unit itself. While the previous design allowed ease of use, the new design (due to its now vertical, rather than horizontal structure) is cumbersome and truly adverse for the end user experience. We really wish that the company would offer the old model again. While we are certain that Phone Soap does what it is supposed to do, it now makes it less appealing for us to use it and to recommend it to others. This is a bummer.

I own a lot of phonesoap products and have been overall happy. I've gifted them and encouraged others to buy them. However, for this purchase I will be doing my second exchange. Both units that have been sent to me did not work. I've spent more hours trouble shooting than I care to admit. Such a waist of time. The exchange is easy but still time consuming having to repackage and go to USPS to send the units back. After this next exchange I'll be considering other bands in the future due to a drop in quality control at phonesoap.

Have used the products for many years. Have given them to all of my family members. Good for students in college dorms.

Before buying you need to note the dimensions. It is narrow and my water tank from my cpap machine doesn't fit in it.

I have used smaller UV sanitizers and this size handles items better. It was easy to set up and get started.

HORRIBLE smell after every use. Alarming lack of disclosure pre-purchase regarding the release of ozone and odor. Immediate return and makes me far less likely to purchase products from this company in the future. The concept of having a phonesoap large enough for an iPad (etc) is an appealling one, but this product execution is a disaster. Start over.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback on HomeSoap: UV Light Sanitizer Black. We truly appreciate your honesty and are grateful that you have brought these concerns to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the horrible smell you experienced after every use. It is not uncommon to notice a scent after the use of one of our devices; it is the ozone that produces the smell. It is assurance that the light technology is working as intended. It can be described as a similar smell to a doctor's office or a slight burning smell. No worries, that is just the smell of the germs being killed! It does not last long; it will dissipate after about 15 minutes or so. All of our units are equipped with UV-C light technology, which produces a minor amount of ozone, well below the required limit. Ozone within the chamber remains below .05ppm at all times, which is the OSHA standard for ensuring lung health. Therefore, it is not dangerous! Again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust in the future. Warm regards, Phonesoap support.
