“I wear these in the New Mexico winter when I do my horse chores. I put an arch support insert in them as further insulation for the shoe bed, and the cotton lining on the boot shaft is just enough insulation to keep my feet and legs warm for my hour or so of twice daily chores. The shaft is wide enough for me to tuck my two pairs of pants inside but not so wide that the boots fill up with hay when I‘m feeding. The tread and heel are pronounced enough that I have never slipped in them. I normally wear a 9 1/2, and these 9s fit me perfectly, including insert and thick socks. And the boots are covered with little horses, so what's not to like? I dock these one star because they only last for two seasons before the rubber starts splitting and shredding, but they are reasonably priced enough that I don't mind replacing them every two year. I'm really happy with them.”
