“I bought these after my supposedly waterproof rain boots failed hugely on me in a heavy rainstorm. I read the reviews on these rain boots and felt encouraged that they seem to accommodate wide feet AND look stylish. Plus, the price was right -- I decided to take a risk and order them, even though I have finicky feet that require trying shoes on in person before I buy them.It rained the day after they arrived and I wore them to an event. I could smell the rubber very intensely and most likely other people around me smelled it also. Hopefully the smell is wearing off now.I also bought some padded shoe inserts to make them more comfortable, and now one foot is perfect and the other foot (which is slightly larger) is a bit “snug," so I‘m guessing I shouldn't walk very long distances in them. I don't think that rubber stretches out over time like leather does. But they look really nice, and the smell seems to be fading, so these will be my footwear of choice for rainy days. Unless I'm going to be walking a lot...Like other customers said, they arrive in a plastic bag, not a shoebox.”
“The boots are fine, but they shipped them in a plastic sack that had clearly been opened before (tape & residue) and with tissue paper that was torn & wadded up. Glad I didn‘t have them sent directly to the gift recipient. Not classy at all.”
