“These definitely protect against rain! The ankle is narrow and if you wear low cut socks the stitching from the back tab will rub your skin raw, but they’re comfortable. They are NOT breathable, so expect sweaty feet.”

Only a very thin strip of what felt like felt cloth. I had to buy sole inserts because it hurt my feet. My pinky toes will also bruise if I wear these for too long. You get what you pay for.”
