“Be careful on selection. I bought the design I liked but didn‘t realize they did not have the comfort cotton band around the top of the boot. After fifteen minutes I had a deep wound in my calf and it took weeks to heal. Must wear knee high socks. Another purchase of course. Haven't worn those since high school. Maybe the company can make a piece of soft cotton that can be easily attached to the tops of the boots for the ones that don't come with it.”
“These bouts are cute and are so comfortable- I could actually walk all day in them. Recently I stepped into the shallow creek with them and after about 5 min, water began to leak inside both boots. So I would say they are water resistant but not water proof”
“I have a pair of planones boots that I love (so comfortable & well made) so I decided to order them in a different pattern. I read a few of the reviews about irritation and skin injury from the top of the boot, but knew mine were fine so I ordered this Academy Blue pair. Now I understand why these new ones can cause that problem. There‘s no fabric on the top edge and the texture is somewhat rough. I contacted planones customer service to express my concern and the customer service representative said the newer boots have the fabric on them & not all the older ones do. I know this isn't correct because my old ones do & these don't! I'm keeping this pair because I love the print and hopefully they won't cause a problem, but wanted to make others aware of it.”
