“My wife wanted these for gardening and when she‘s out trimming the rose bushes. They are a very basic construction with elastic panels on the sides (white areas) and a very minimal insert in the bottom of the boot. The tread pattern looks smart and will provide decent traction and waterproof in 1-2“ puddles. My guess is your heal will hurt after standing in them for long period of time as the checkboard pattern rubber heal won't distribute weight well. A thicker sole insert might be the trick to making these a real winner.”
“I ordered the brown boots as I thought they’d hide grit and grime the best and would coordinate with clothing better. That’s almost the problem. They’re virtually indistinguishable from regular footwear at a glance. They’re extremely attractive, and I don’t want to damage them in mud and rain. We’re in our dry season right now, so I haven’t worn them out and about as yet, so I cannot attest to their waterproofness or extended comfort, but they fit well, and I have slightly wide foot. The toe box seems comfortable also. I have examined the pair carefully, and the construction seems sturdy and that it should perform as advertised.”
“I purchased these for obvious reasons to be able to protect myself when it rains and floods.I don’t like that I can’t wear socks with them. That is, socks such as footies, they slip every time I take a step further into the shoe and that is super ANNOYING and I don’t like to wear shoes without socks it feels weird. Other wise it’s sturdy good looking shoe”
“I love the shape and color of these boots. They’re easy to put on and take off and hug your foot snuggly. I wore them for the first time today all day walking around the National Zoo (lots of hills) and they were comfortable. My feet are medium width and these boots run a bit on the narrow side, rubbing slightly against my pinky toes- not so much though to make them uncomfortable. If your feet are at all on the wider side these would probably give you a blister.”
