“The light itself is great but without the option of a tabletop stand for this small unit it’s cumbersome and difficult to use. There’s 2 small screws that protrude from the end that make it unable to sit on a flat surface vertically. I would not buy again. Maybe they do this to force the purchase of the BioMax since you can purchase a tabletop stand for it. I just wanted an entry level light I could afford but the awkwardness of it was not worth the purchase.”
“As a new user, I cannot provide any insights into the effectiveness of red light therapy, but I can tell you that the Bio 300 is well constructed and easy to set-up and use. The over-the-door hardware is extremely sturdy and the pully system allows one to easily focus the red light on any area of the body. In fact, despite its relatively small size, standing just 12"-24" away from the unit provides a fairly large coverage area. Color me impressed.”
“It's early days, but I've found I have more energy after using the device (this is a massive thing for me). Also, my skin appears to be healing where it's been injured!
One day I used it, including on my knees and legs, and at night I went to a concert that involved a lot of dancing. My knees felt more robust, like I had feeling there I didn't have before.
One time I think I did overdose, though. After that session, I felt very tired. It reminded me of the importance to properly dose; don't overdo it!
For me, at present, my sweet-spot dose seems to be about 90 seconds at 24 inches away, on front body, back, sides, and legs (front and back). So (90 seconds x 6). Then I also do 30 seconds on sensitive areas, groin and face... In total = ((90 seconds x 6) + (30 seconds x 2)) = 10 minutes total exposure, at 24 inches away, roughly. I've done this every other day, so having a day break in between sessions. But I started off in my treatments with the device being even further away, at 36 inches. Now, I'm experimenting with increasing my exposure times and intensity (closeness to the device (and: the more intense, the less exposure time necessary, I've heard)). As I said, I overdosed once doing this, so I'm being more cautious now. I decided to add a lighter session on my off-days. I'll see how that goes, and continue on from there! Listening to my body. (But I think everyone will be different, and some will be able to tolerate more or less than I am, just like the gym and sauna... Dosing seems like a balancing act, between Exposure time, Intensity, and Your personal tolerance).
So far, so good! Thank you PlatinumLED for your product, amd for shipping it internationally! :-)”
“I s been impressed by the research about the wide uses on red light therapy. I’m trying it to deal with gut health and inflammation issues and hypothyroid. I’ve been using it 5-6 times a week for 20-40 minutes in four different body positions. O can’t say I’ve noticed any dramatic changes but I am giving iit time to see what happens. It does seem solidly constructed and stable and I have it next to a wall on the floor propped on its long edge and I lay down in front of it both 8-10” away on floor turning myself like a rotisserie chicken to reach my various parts !”
“I had previously purchased the Bio Series 600 combo red/nir. I added the 300 to my set up so that I can really do my full body at a closer distance. Previously, my Achilles tendons were painful simply touch. That is so much better now. It also has also helped to reduce pain with a thumb issue. Because of my profession, my neck, shoulders, and are always tight and frequently painful. Now, I have less discomfort there also. I noticed a big difference with these issues after a week or two of using the light panels.”
“I've studied many red/NIR lights from many different companies. I'm convinced that Platinum LED Therapy Lights is the best company & for my purposes the BIO Series has the greatest products.”
